Playoff will expand to 12 teams. 6 highest ranked conference champs. Plus 6 at large. Top 4 ranked champs get bye. 5-8 host home playoff game. Quarterfinal and semi final games at neutral site/bowl games.

personally I hate it. It will make teams like Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Georgia, Florida, Clemson, LSU virtually impossible to eliminate before the playoff. Dawgs lose in Tuscaloosa? Don’t matter you’re in. Blown out in Jacksonville. No bother. You’re in. Bayou Bengals beat Bama in T Town? Don’t worry Bama. You made it.

Yeah, between this and the portal, it looks like Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, etc. will continue to dominate. The committee has not shown great judgment so far (hence so many blowouts in the playoffs) and I don't think they'll ever have the gonads to put in all the SEC teams that deserve it because the TV ratings would be so limited.

There are a total of 3 teams out of this group to be in the title game in the past 15 years. Expanding the playoff makes way for a 8th or higher seed to shock the world. As it stands now you have "super" teams being built. All the best talent goes to maybe 6 schools and they are the only ones in title contention.

Those 8th ranked teams are ranked 8th because they already got crapped on by one of the top 4.

And? if thats the case why play a conference title game? How many times has the wild card won the world series or super bowl? Your way of thinking is whats killing college football. Viewership for this years title game was lower than a semi final game.

I want losing to mean something. In this new system. Losing doesn’t mean anything. Georgia would have made the last 4 playoffs under this system. Losing in 2018 to Bama in the SECCG wouldve meant nothing. Same in 2019 to LSU. They’d have made it in 2020 as well. Same with Florida. Losing to the Dawgs in 2018 and 2019 meant nothing in regards to the national picture.
