Also not what is being said on the CMP forum on this very subject.
You are assuming , if not provide facts and source of said facts to support your assumption.
This all comes from congress as to the rules, not the CMP. It will not be like the rifles.
A year or so back the figures I saw being knocked around were $1000 plus. I'm looking forward to seeing actual figures.
For the life of me I've never notarized a form to buy a Garand...maybe because it's a rifle vs a handgun?
Whatever...I want one but prolly can't afford one...

Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Clarification: 4) A form 4473 will have to be filled out in person at the FFL holders location that receives the 1911. A NICS background check by the receiving FFL on the purchaser will also have to be performed.

Are these 1911's going to be junk or just slap worn out? Mags included? Will the mags have weak springs? Or are they going to be in decent shape and GTG? Just curious.
