Classic wheel gun porn....

It’s not a classic, it’s new production but it’s a Holy Grail gun for me.

So today I received my long awaited letter from Smith regarding my 19 no dash birth gun. My birth date was June 4, 1959. I can't believe I missed it BY ONE DAY!! The letter was rather detailed. My sincere thanks to Leatherhead Leatherhead , @JWC, Jonas aircraft and arms, GOD and anyone else that had a hand in bringing this fine piece of American machinery into my arms.

I'll buy that one back whenever you want. Very very nice piece, my friend.

Something a little different - a Taurus Model 82. My father worked in law enforcement after returning from Vietnam in the early 70s, and this was the gun he was issued by the department. It's a Spesco import, and I'd be interested to know more about it if anyone is knowledgeable.

The nickel isn't peeling, but there is minor corrosion that needs fixing. The grips are in bad shape, and I decided to see if I had anything that would fit. The grip screw is rusted pretty badly and was a chore to remove. The 82 is essentially a model 10 clone, and surprisingly the Pachmyar grip fit pretty well after a little fiddling with the grip screw.

The Ahrends wood grips fit even better, as the grip screw location was clear of any issues. I can't bring myself to leave these on, but they do look pretty good.
