Classic wheel gun porn....

Dave Laubert at Defensive Creations

-shorten barrel to 3”, crown, and slabside
-fabricate new front sight, with 14k gold bead, blend dovetail
-tune the action
-modify grip frame from square butt to round butt profile
-install crane/yoke lock ball
-clean up pits, scratches, and dents in surface metal
-satin blue finish, case harden hammer and trigger

Before I sent the gun to Dave, I bobbed the hammer, removed the serrations from the trigger, and chamfered the front and rear of the cylinder.

That finish looks great. Does he do the refinishing or have to send it off?

This one slipped under the ODT radar a few weeks ago. Marked as a Century M100 it turned out to be a lot less seen and far fewer made. This is a Firearms Specialty 45/70 Revolver. It was made by a Fellow named R Wilson of Michigan. He hand made these in his garage back in the late 50s early 60s. The gun did not fire when I picked it up. 2 hours of fabricating a few internal parts and it was brought back to life. weighing in at 6.5 pounds mitigates recoil down to about a hot 357.
