Civil War Calvary Sword Value

I'd get someone to look at it in person, but as stated above, if real $600-800 and if not, nice enough to get $100 easy. Look at some of the ones for sale on ebay and gunbroker and compare how yours is built to help judge originality and then look at condition for a rough idea of price. I'm not saying they are the definitive authority on value, but it will give you an idea on what "some" folks are paying. Here one I found like yours from 1863. I saw some that had the same markings as mine for $1,500- $1,800.

So, for comparison's sake, I did an impulse bid on a sword and now I own it. $235. I win more stuff this way!
