Well now. At least twice in the past week (and one about 2 weeks ago), I found a web site offering very fair, if not great ammo prices in the Covid-19 world. The first was a place out of the Miami area with a catchy name (which escapes me now - guess it was not all that catchy!) and the second was this morning, from a place out of Wheat Ridge, CO (Suburb of Denver). I first saw an ad for Hornady 6.5 CM, 143 gr ELD $310.99 for 500. Then, Sig .38 Special 124gr. FMJ $250.99 for 500. Need .30-30? Hornady 50gr. $250 for 500. .45 acp was $230 for 500, .308 Federal 168gr. SMK HPBT $19 for 500. I could go on. I was gonna tear into some credit card charges, then that doggone inner voice started shouting - If it is too good to be true - you ain't getting it! (or something like that.) I did a cursory Google search of the name on the web site and saw that the domain name was issued this past November. Apparently some folks are having to dispute credit card charges. Yep. Scammers are out there.
