Carroll County / Hwy 5 Hunting Club

Just to make sure I understand correctly, your imposed limit is one deer per time slot? But 2 guests are allowed with a paid slot.
So, if I were to purchase a week for myself, a son-in-law, and my grandson to get to hunt together.... we could harvest one deer total? Or one deer per person?
If my grandson was lucky enough to score on the first day, our hunt would then be over? Or if I were to harvest a deer, I would then have to tell my grandson that our week is over?
Just want to be clear on the limit.
One single deer per purchased time slot?
One deer per hunter, per purchased time slot? (Max being one deer for the purchaser + one deer each for the 2 allowed guests)

Thanks.

9/11/2021 Edit: I changed the fee structure in response to the comments (thanks for your feedback).

The property is heavily wooded. 23 acres of woods is more huntable than a 100-acre field. For example, last week, after I had already been walking all around the property for a couple hours, I doubled-back towards the creek and spooked a deer. Deer and humans alike are harder to see in woods, increasing the potential density.

there are no resident deer, they are are traveling across the property,1 deer 3 people on 23 acres and 450 rut week? I dont see it

I sure hope you fill up all the slots.good luck

Thanks. If I pay $1,500/year on taxes and $300/year on hunting liability insurance, I break even if I fill up about half of the slots. On the other hand, if the leasing hunters purchase the hunting liability insurance and name me, the landowner, as an additional insured, then I can offer the hunting lease with a reduced fee structure.

Adjacent parcels immediately to the East are about 40 acres of wooded property. West is 20 acres of light woods. And just on the other side of Hwy 5 from the property is a thousand acres of Blenheim Timber woodland.

I sincerely appreciate the feedback.

Trailcam photos, part 1: The Boys

Over the past week, I have caught four different bucks on the trailcam. One of them is quite a trophy.

Trailcam photos, part 2: The Girls

I caught as many as five does on a single video, though unfortunately never more than four were in frame at once. Separate from that adult herd, the trailcam regularly catches a doe with two fawns.

Bonus: I also caught a coyote on the trailcam at night.

Some photos I took over the past year or so. The property also has a gravel road which makes access easier.
Hello, I am a resident of Carroll county and business owner as well. I recently lost my privileges where I hunt due to the land being sold in the middle of hunting season!! Is this still available?

[MAJOR EDITS / UPDATES MADE ON 9/11/2021]

Hello folks. I am the owner of a 23-acre wooded property located 25 minutes South of Douglasville, or 16 minutes Northwest of Newnan. I had the trails on the property bush hogged in early August 2021, opening up some nice sight lines. I plan on harvesting one deer this season but otherwise I'm open to reducing my holding costs for the land by leasing hunting rights to another couple of hunters. We would agree on hunting dates so we aren't out there at the same time.

Fee structure:

  • The leasing hunters would be responsible for purchasing hunting liability insurance and naming me, the landowner, as an additional insured (AHLA offers such policies for $215: https://ahuntinglease.org).
  • Lease fee of $250 per leasing hunter.

PART 2: THE GIRLS (plus a bonus coyote): https://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/t...y-5-hunting-club.2584897/page-2#post-11775128

As you can see, my property is a 23-acre deer highway.

Hello. The land is already leased through the end of the current deer season. Please check back in 2022.
