Care for Messermeister chef knife - suggestions?

Hello ODT knife experts - wife got me this sweet chef knife. I'm no newbie with sharp things, just wondering how YOU would care for the edge over time? It's 4116 with a 15 degree bevel. Razor sharp, but what's your suggestions for keeping it that sharp? I have stones, but don't want to screw up the bevel. Do I look for a strop? Any help would be great!
