In our part of the state there's a homeless guy. He's actually very well off, has a nice home etc. His wife left him and he flipped. Now he lives on the creek, fishes etc to eat. Stays out in the swamp but walks to various places to chat incoherently, rambles on and goes back under the bridge. He's survived that way over ten years now. But if he can make it surely the rest of us can.

The vast majority of the homeless live off the scraps and discarding of our first world lifestyle. There are a few resourceful individuals but I dont see the majority of them prospering.
