Bug out bag list help -

change of clothes for the season. always have something you can walk thru the woods in..
clothes
a few mre's
water filter
band aids/first aid
a few extra pairs of socks (always 3 pairs with foot powder in them)
knife
hatchet
gun and ammo.
i have a few other things in mine. but thats a good start.
are you building a bug out bag? or a get home bag?
my get home is a small bag
my bug out is a camel back mother load,it has the same stuff.but it also has
fishing pole (pocket fisherman)
front and rear plates
holster and mag pouches on front plate
fence pliers (google them)
and
clothes are tactical,tan pants and shirt
 
Who has the best bug out bag list ??
Using a Medium-large backpack style bag....

This is what is packed in my backpack and a small gym bag with a sling strap that I travel with - I plan to be able to cull the duffel depending on the circumstance if need be - It’s a little heavier than I would like but I’m old and I move slow anyway - I’ll probably throw it in a shopping cart until I get out of town and then just drag it through the woods from there

HK 9mm USP xtra mags & ammo
Ruger mark 4 & ammo (quiet stuff)
Wool blanket (rolled up and vacuum packed)
Sweatshirt & Sweat pants (black) (rolled up and vacuum packed)
Boonie hat (black)
A pair of shorts (black) and 2 T-shirts (1 black & 1 safety yellow) (vacuum packed)
Gore-Tex rain jacket (black)
2 pairs of socks (individually vacuum packed)
A down pack jacket liner (vacuum packed)
A 10 x 15 Tyvek tarp
A hammock
Two or three contractor trash bags
Half dozen or so energy bars

A first aid kit with the basics plus amoxicillin - Percocet - sutures - forceps - detoxified iodine - caffeine pills and needed prescription meds

A film can fishing kit (10# spiderwire w/small assorted hooks & small weights)
A couple of film cans full of waxed cotton
A wire saw
A couple of large eye upholstery type hand sewing needles
A spool of trip/snare wire
A couple of small earth magnets
4 tea candles
A compass
Another compass
A 6 inch fixed blade knife with a leather sheath
Double sided diamond sharpener
A folding knife or 2
Leatherman Rev
A small flashlight with extra batteries
3 50 foot pieces of 550 para cord (The real **** with the inner strands)
A zipper pull thermometer
A couple of bic lighters
A magnesium/Flint stone
A 4 inch flint rod
A gas mask with two cans
Repacked gorilla tape
A reusable grocery bag
A couple of Ziploc bags
Folded roll of HD aluminum foil (for making and repairing hats)
Nylon Spork
Collapsible water bottle X 2
A collapsible silicone bowl
A large stainless steel single walled camping coffee cup (20 ounces I think)
2 space blankets
Small Nalgene 2oz bottle of gun oil
Small Nalgene 8oz bottle of Clorox
Small Nalgene 4oz bottle of ammonia
Small Nalgene 8oz bottle of colloidal silver
Small Nalgene 8oz bottle of my homemade bug repellent
A pair of flip-flops

Also have a electrical adapter kit I put together - I can turn an outlet into a light socket a light socket into an outlet - a three prong into a two prong - a single socket into two sockets and a phone charger - also a small led standard base light bulb and a rechargeable phone battery pack

I generally travel with a rifle and a machete and lots of bottled water among other things in my vehicle so that’s available at departure

I’ve been carrying around pretty much the same set up since I was in my mid to late 20s I probably ought to rethink and scale it down now that I’m older

Stuff I’ve field tested and has been culled over the years . . .

*Anything solar powered or hand cranked
*An ax - To me just not worth its weight
*Most multi function tools
*Anything made in China
*Para cord that doesn’t have the strands
*Regular fishing monofilament
*Glock
