BSA Deerhunter 3-9×40

Got this scope on a rifle i bought and the inner stopper ring in the rear is broken and both of the crosshairs are snapped...is it even worth trying to get BSA to repair it or should i just chuck it for scrap?

I wanted to mount this on my sons crickett target model...
