Books That Should Be Required Reading for Soldiers

List books on leadership/personal development/self improvement here that you think should be mandatory reading for those entering the US military.
So far I've read The Mission, The Men, and Me by Pete Blaber, and am currently reading Black Hearts by Jim Frederick. Both are on my list. I've also ordered Irresistible Revolution by Matthew Lohmeier, the former Space Force commander who was fired, and plan to read it this summer as well.

How's the Black Hearts book looking?

True and sad. I expected more of the 101st airborne. But they're not exempt from the army's shortcomings either. It's full of what not to do as a leader. It's American history that is very relevant.

I just finished Black Hearts. I've ordered 12 rules for life. Jordan Peterson also just released a follow up book to the original with 12 more rules for life, and I ordered it as well.

All quiet on the western front. We’ve been “spoiled” these past wars and it’s a good read for the true horrors of war, and what to mentally prepare for.

This book was written by my Father-in-Law and was required reading at West Point where he was a Leadership and Ti Kwan Do instructor.
