No doubt, they blend pretty well with the dark
Used to belong to a hunting club off Marion Ridley Road. Saw a bear twice and actually had one walk directly under my ladder stand. Couldn’t have been 15 feet below me!
I got a video on my phone where I recorded one walking almost under me when I was sitting my climber. Where bouts on Marion Ripley was your club
I've got lots of bears on my farm, and I hunt.
I've never bumped into one while out, but my trail cams have them very active from midnight until about 3 AM.
I'm not sure if a bear poops in the woods, but if I walked up on one, I'm pretty sure that I would....

Several of us have seen them in the afternoon and evening while in the stand but luckily nobody has walked up on one
