was just looking at percolator style coffee makers. little wary of the aluminum ones, think i will spend a bit more for stainless steel if i go that route. think im down to either the peculator style or a french press.
My son and I used the French press in the mountains of Colorado and it tasted great at 9,000 ft.

If space/weight is a concern, it is for me, this is the best I have found. Actually an exact knockoff from monoprice. Only issue is you are limited to boiling stuff, as opposed to an MSR style stove. I have/ had every type brand back packing style stuff I could find over the years looking for perfect. They all have compromises but for coffee, this is the best I have found. Vid is a little painful to watch but good info

i was looking at this one today while at work and really like it. cant go wrong with a Stanley. ide still have to have a separate pot to boil water in, but thats not really a big deal since i park next to my campsite haha. it may be the winner lol.

I have one of these that I use on the fire when I want decent coffee:

It does the job if you use good beans, but not sure it's worth $40. I think I picked it up for less than $30 somewhere local. It could use a metal lid to make it boil a bit faster.

theres a link on that one to a "newer model" thats one 25 bucks and looks the same. think its gonna get added to the cart...i ordered this one lol https://www.amazon.com/Stanley-Adventure-French-Press-Silver/dp/B07L6MLC6J/ref=dp_ob_title_sports

i may end up with a percolate style as well and have a coffee battle in the mornings to see which i like better lol.

Looks like the plastic bits are black instead of dark green and the logo's a bit different, so probably just a model year change.

Never been a fan of a percolator, I think it keeps too much of the bitters and tastes burnt if you're not careful.
