Best bow for 500$?

I practically stole a Martin Firecat off of here a couple years ago. Great bow for sure.
My top two favorites are a Mathews Outback and a Bowtech Carbon Knight.

I use the Exomax....never missed a shot with it and killed 9 deer with it last year and three yotes.
I had an older Exocet which my buddy accidentally ran over with his truck.
That one was an excellent shooter as well.
The exomax definitely has more punch than the Exocet but basically the same size.
Excalibur also makes a micro version for hunting ground blinds which is supposed to be pretty cool but I’d stick with the full size and anything over 300 FPS will get the job done.
Most of the Excalibur full size bows are roughly 350 FPS.
You can pick up a used one for about $500 .

I just got back into it. I have nothing but good to say about Bear Archery Species! $399 on Amazon, it comes with everything you need. Whisker biscuit rest, Trophy Ridge lighted sights, peep sight, quiver, and stabilizer. It came ready to shoot.
