Thanks Jimmy, I didn't realize P250 offered as .380
Knew they had 9mm and 45
I found a new P250-22 shortly before P250 dropped.
Think that was right after P320 came out.
P250-22 has scalloped top edges on slide, doesn't
look as squared off as the others. Sig offered a conv
kit in 22lr but this is only one I've seen in Sig box marked
P250-22. Least fun is loading 12-14 into the mag.
I do have another .380 no one has mentioned yet.
Must be rare and scarce :O
HP CF380. Pawn shop had one didn't look like it'd
ever been fired. $108 out the door w/tax. Figured time
to see for myself what all the fuss & hate was about.
After teardown & inspection I liked what I saw. Cheap
and simple but reportedly always goes bang. Made in
USA, lifetime no questions warranty. Called HP to ask
how old it was (2016), get a manual. They not only sent
that also the other stuff that comes in box when new.
Ghost ring sights, brush, etc. Even sent a set of grips.
Used dremel to polish silver stripe on cf's slide. Also
polished side of chamber visible in ejection port. Revealed
"380 acp" stamped into metal under the black paint. Original
grips painted alumn to match silver on slide. Still looks like a
brick but now it's a custom brick. Glad i got it, fun to shoot.
One time at range another shooter asked me what it was lol.
HPs kind of remind me of original VW bug. Basic simple
transportation, nothing fancy but reliable. Most folks loved 'em
for what they were, didn't expect same level of performance or
amenities as pony car or Cadyurlac.
I had a Llama 1911 in .380 once, didn't like how it felt or shot at all, got rid of it right away. I have a Bersa Thunder 380 (for sale right now), it was a good shooter and ate everything I gave it, plus small enough to be a pocket pistol. The S&W bodyguard was a pretty good one too.
