I have been looking for a shotgun for months. I just could not make up my mind. I have always hunted with a Remington Model 11 in 20 gauge. I have been wanting a new bird gun to spend time with my son and a gun that is not 90+ years old. Saturday night I got a phone call from our schools booster club that I had one the days 30 gun /30 day gun raffle. The gun of the day is a Benelli Nova. I will go to Barrows on Saturday to pick up the gun and honestly cant decide between 20 & 12.
I suck at shooting birds so I dont know that it matters. On one hand I can miss just as many with a 20 as I can with a 12. On the other hand I may have more luck with the 12. I go because I enjoy spending time sitting on a bucket next to my kid.
Anyone with experience with the Benelli Nova? Should I get a 12 or 20?
