They were authentic, had them worked on by MT. I enjoyed my microtech's don't get me wrong, just less to go wrong on a high quality folder. If I found a good deal I'd buy another in a heart beat. I just personally don't enjoy carrying one for the reasons stated earlier.
I use several of them, My Stitch is my workhorse... and I got a couple of show ponies

You’re right more closer to 1/15 or 1/20th the price lol
Microtech IMO makes a better OTF that Benchmade does....this doesn't count the BM autocrat since it's new. So for OTF I would recommend going the MT route. The Dark Angel series from Protech is also a good alternative if you don't mind a manual retract.
