Been Hooked?

2 years ago was the first time. Getting the kayaks on the trailer and swiped my hand past a pole and........First pic

Last weekend was the second. Hooked a catfish in the back and had a hold of him by the tail and was going to grab him by the mouth and as my hand got close he wiggled and I lost my grip about 2 seconds after my wife got that pic and.......2nd & 3rd pics

As a child (6?) my dad told me he had to push the barb through my finger then cut one end of the hook off.

I got to literally bite the bullet of a .45 as he pushed it through with a pair of needle nose pliers.

Oh, and I wasn’t supposed to cry.

Luckily I didn’t flinch, and, as they say:

“It’s just a flesh wound”

I have thought about getting barbless hooks and changing them all out. Them suckers don't like to come back out!
