IMHO flavored whiskeys and blended whiskeys are just soda pop items in the real whiskey world.

Flavored whisky is the fastest growing category. A lot of folks really like them. sometimes the whiskey is pretty good to start with. there is a lot of crap out there, of course. But you can’t argue with the sales

The best way to drink whiskey is to have several kinds and drink them in descending order from best to worst. After the third glass it could be unleaded 87 octane and you wouldn't know the difference.
