Backpack <Survival> Help

If you plan on multiday hiking with gear, definitely get something that was intended for it and make sure it is adjustable to fit your body. It's all about being able to get the weight of the pack to ride on your waist and not hang from your shoulders. Also, pack the heaviest stuff on the top of the pack. It will help keep the weight in line with your center of gravity. If it's heavier at the bottom of the pack, it will feel like the pack is trying to pull you backwards.

If you are looking for a day pack or overnight bag, I love my Maxpeditions. I have a Malaga that is my EDC for work and the motorcycle. I also have a backpack style that has a little more room, but is still pretty small. They are super super tough. While not waterproof, they stand up pretty well the the environment. In my experience too, it doesn't matter how "waterproof" your pack is... If it rains, everything is getting wet.
