So I have been dealing with pretty bad bilateral lower back and leg pain since mid February. Because of covid, appointments were hard to get, diag procedures took too long, had several injections but too little too late. Pain wont go away even with narcotics, leg weakness is progressing to the point of being hard to climb stairs. (yes, I am about 40lbs overweight currently)
Ortho is ready to send me to a surgeon for foraminal stenosis and large a disk bulge. I had issues with the surgeon at this particular practice a few years back and do not want to use Him. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good spine surgeon with a practice in Marietta to Canton area?
Also wondering about the carpenter vs the electrician question. Who would you rather have work on your spine, a neurosurgeon or orthopedic spine surgeon? There are approx 10 orthos to every 1 neuro.

I broke my lower back, have a fusion, cage and screws. I can't recommend any particular doctor I'd definitely go to spinal specialist. I went to the Laser Spine Institute in Tampa, best move I made.
BTW, it was a neurosurgeons that did the failed surgeries, had me on pain killers for 7 years while offering one useless procedure after another
