Hi,

any input appreciated here.

SureFire SOCOM suppressor attachment question. I have a 6.5 Creedmoor that I want to use my suppressor with. 5/8x24 threads

SureFire makes the flash hider/ attachment device caliber specific. (6.5-5/8x24, 7.62-5/8x24, etc.)

I’ve been searching for the 6.5 one but can’t find one anywhere.

Question: Would it matter if I used the 7.62 flash hider/suppressor adapter on my 6.5 CM? Thread pitch is the same, it just has a bigger opening. Any thoughts on if using that would affect accuracy or chance of baffle strikes? Does the flash hider size really matter if the thread pitch is right?

Thanks

SureFire tech support got back to me on this in case anyone else needs to know.

I have the SOCOM300, so I’m gtg.

They said: “There is no negative impact with using a larger caliber end mount on your 6.5
However, you can NOT use a SOCOM65 on a SF3P-762 end mount.

If you have a SOCOM762 or SOCOM300 then it can be used on your 6.5 Creedmoor”
