In 1988, a young boy was murdered in Roswell. Police recently made an arrest based on DNA evidence. I remember when this happened so the headline jumped out at me.

He was convicted in 1993 and spent 20 years in prison for other crimes. So for sure you are right about there being other victims.

Based on some comments I read from the victim's mother (who's since passed away), I believe GBI may have known at some point years later who committed the crime, but they couldn't prove it until now. As soon as this monster got brought in on the other charges later, he had to have become an obvious suspect.

Good friend of mine Kevin Gatlin was lead investigator. It tore him up so bad he quit and moved to Montana. The child was raped and beaten to death. I think he was 8 or 9. Kevin lost sleep for many, many nights.
