Hopefully the ones already sold will be grandfathered in and only new purchases after a future date will require for registration. If not I hope they move away from the issue.

I don't see them making AR pistols illegal. If anything they might go after the braces but not sure what aspect of the law they could use to make the pistols themselves illegal. It might get done by EO but likely would be overturned by SCOTUS.
