Where can I find dark apple cider? Its not apple cider vinegar is it?

No. I hit up Publix for their premium apple juice and Snyders (sp) apple cider. Once you get all the ingredients in the pot bring it to a boil and reduce the heat to a simmer. If you do it right, It should yield 10qts.
And don't add but one quart of water. Two quarts seems to weaken the flavor some.

I bought the premium at Walmart not store brand. I didn't add any water and added two additional apples. It yield 9 1/2 qtrs. saved the apples for ice cream topping. Warm in microwave and spoon over vanilla bean ice cream. Adults only!!!

I made this recipe. I took the apples out before adding the everclear so they didnt soak any up. Its great tasting but needs less sugar or more alcohol.....aint decided yet

I added a little vodka to one of the jars. It was good and I got a good buzz from it too.

My recipe is pretty close. Minus the white sugar and add a bottle of Captain Morgan spiced rum.

Its a really good one been making it like this for awhile good to give out as gifts as it is not overly strong.

this isn't apple pie brandy its homemade apple pie moonshine watered down but still good all the same

I use the Cider / juice you get up at the Apple house in Ellijay it's far better then what you can buy at thd grocery store ...
