Anyone visit the WWII Museum in New Orleans?

Was going to visit a buddy down in that neck of the woods next weekend and we've discussed before about visiting it when the time is right. I've heard that its one of the better museums to visit if you get the chance. What say ya'll? Has anyone here on the ODT been before? Any chance you can conceal carry inside or do they have all the checks in place before you enter? Didn't find anything on their website.

I've been. One of the best museums that I've ever visited. I carried concealed at the time of the visit but it's been several years. There were no wands or detectors. Definitely worth a visit.

Outstanding place to go! You can get lost for hours wandering around.

Second only to the Smithsonian.

We have a pretty good Infantry museum at Ft Benning too.

I’ve visited several Civil War museums close by and thought Shiloh would be Awesome, and it was cool, but Ft.Oglethorpe and Kennesaw Mt were a lot better imo . The motorcycle ride through Natchez Trace made the trip worth while. Imma re enactment nerd too if anybody wants company going?

I hope so too. I'd say there's probably a 50% chance at the moment. If I make it there, I'd definitely take several photos for ya'll to see.
