Was going to visit a buddy down in that neck of the woods next weekend and we've discussed before about visiting it when the time is right. I've heard that its one of the better museums to visit if you get the chance. What say ya'll? Has anyone here on the ODT been before? Any chance you can conceal carry inside or do they have all the checks in place before you enter? Didn't find anything on their website.

Totally agree….one of the best I’ve ever visited. The Louisiana Civil War museum is right around the corner and it’s pretty amazing too

I’ve visited several Civil War museums close by and thought Shiloh would be Awesome, and it was cool, but Ft.Oglethorpe and Kennesaw Mt were a lot better imo . The motorcycle ride through Natchez Trace made the trip worth while. Imma re enactment nerd too if anybody wants company going?

Thanks for providing the links from a few years back. I tried to see if any other posts came up from others but didn't have any luck when doing my search.
