Anyone used an FN/FAL L1A1 as a suppressor host?

Has anyone used an FN/FAL L1A1 as a suppresor host? If so, what adjustments were made to the gas system (reduced or increased). (I’ve heard you had to replace the gas plug) Any feed issues? I‘m considering getting the barrel on mine (standard 21”) threaded 5/8x24 to accept my Banish 30. Wanted to see any pros/cons before I do.

That’s what I would think. DSA sells a gas plug designed to run a suppressor but can’t be used without one. Don’t want to get into a lot of changing parts just to run it.

Get the dsa plug or weld up a spare. Pretty simple mod.

I noticed that my DSA L1A was louder with my Advanced Armament can than a AR 10 type rifle.. I think it was the piston type gas system making it louder.
