Anyone have experience with Solar tires?

I got to get Mom some new tires. The ones on her car have plenty of tread, but they're 8+ years old. She drives maybe 5000 miles a year. Walmart has these cheap at $29.87 plus extras. The reviews are good. They're made by Sumitomo, which seems to be a well respected Japanese company. They may be manufactured somewhere like Indonesia, but it would still be to Sumitomo specs. Anyone own this brand?

I have a set of Goodyear from Walmart on my Corolla. I've never had a problem with their service. Had a racist cashier once, but a talk with the manager got that fixed.

Maybe they just don't like you?

Sumitomo makes a decent tire. Don't know anything about their off-brands.

I remember once a cheap affordable tire back in 2006 that had a 60,000 mile tread wear supposedly...but I seem to recall it was called a solus??..kr21?...made by kumho

a solar?...I have never even heard of it spoken of...
