Any way to judge the age of a knife?

Funny while I was in the basement going through all the stuff we brought home I found an unused iron still in the original box. Looked it up and it was made in the 60’s. They must have bought it and forgot they had it. 67 years they were married. 67 years worth of stuff they never got rid of. Lol
