any plumbers on here?

generally happens early evenings. the pipe leading to it comes from the house.
after the pipe comes the septic tank. but, we havent really had sub freezing temps yet
and the ground would insolate the pipe to a degree. not much but anything helps.

and, with all water valves shut off at the house 90 gallons of water at some point some how
went through the meter as well over night.

What is the 4" line, pvc, cast,?
If you can "flush" with a water hose, its not clogged...temp should be irrelevant below ground...dead spot in slope maybe...hummitty hummitty hummmm

pvc. no water built up and finally breaks through the clogg.
see what i mean this is very confusing. there is indeed a clog as water backs up into the bath tub'.
thats how we know there is a problem to start with. happens this way every time.

I would suggest running a camera down the line to see the condition of the pipe.
You either have a sag in the pipe allowing "stuff" to build up or possibly the pipe is shoved too far into the tank causing "stuff" to clog the area where the pipe dumps into the tank.

ok but why would this only be happening in the cold months though? its just damn odd.
and the 90 gallons that somehow went through the meter when all water was shut off?

Probably just coincidence on the cold months. Even if it were zero degrees out, the frost line in ga. Is 6", it would have to be zero for a couple of weeks to get there!
As for the water, did you have it shut off at the main valve inside house or at the meter itself?
