Can you be more specific? Mauser was founded in 1811 and has made a wide array of firearms in 210 years.

Not to hijack any ones thread but since we have some folks far more knowledgeable than I .....................
I have a Mauser marked DOU 41 and G24t, I believe the receiver S/N is 2xxx, I'll have to dig it out. I have no intention of firing it but would like it suitable for display. I'd like to find out which piece of wood is incorrect make it right. Any other information would be appreciated.

That is basically a K98 built on a 24t reciever. 1941 was a transition year sort of or it was pieced together later in life. 100% safe to shoot blast away. I could or someone else could give more details on it with better pictures.

It is a modified vz24. Early in the war the Germans issued all the Czech arms in inventory. They took control of their arms industry as well which was substantial for small arms. They had materials to assembly another @180k Mauser vz24. The G24t is a modified vz24 so that it matches the manual of arms used by the German army. This consists of mainly how the sling is attached and the bolt disassembly disc. Most were issued to support troops but the SS who had to obtain arms outside of the army's logistical system acquired some as well.

Don't hold to that number it's from memory.
