That would be an option for folks that want to do that. Not everyone would, and it greatly complicates things.

AR parts aren’t as easy to get as they were, and many of them are quite a bit more expensive.

There are so many options nowadays when it comes to every single part of the complete system. Each builder would want their own particulars.

The class would be advertised way in advance. Anyone that wants to build a gun during the class would be able to source their own parts, bring them to the class, and build one.
