I was just reading through another popular Ga. site's classified forum and found a guy in NC looking to lease a property to hunt for him and his kids. I know leases go up a bit every year, but this guy was willing to pay up to $30 an acre for the lease in the NE corner of the state. Is the hunting really that good there or is this guy that desperate?

Have a friend paying $20 an acre for 600 acres. Logging company came through in December and clear cut about 200 acres. They are in negotiations about a new price.

I heard a guy at a gun shop in Tennessee say he was paying $57 dollars an acre.

In TN or KY? I could believe it in Western KY. On another note my pop leased 150 acres in Merriwether for $1 an acre in the 80’s and early 90’s when it went to 5 he gave it up.
