They call it the Dead Sea
The PFC levels in that lake are grotesquely high. PFC ( Poly Fecal Coliform ) scientific name for sh*t. So ixnay on the fish feast. Just keep your mouth closed when in the water. Your best bet fishing is fish on the bottom. Catfish may find a way to one of your baits but I would bet on a high success rate.
I would drive a little and do Carter's lake. Good place to fish in the right place. Has many species of fish. Striper, larger and small mouth bass, catfish, I hear walleye are in there. Rent a pontoon. For the day and there are plenty of shore to hop off and picknic and let the kids play in the shallows.
