9/15 afternoon hunt

5 turkeys and doe with a young one
I closed a deal on a doe tonight.
She came in with 9 others .
Unfortunately it took her a few seconds to run about 200 yards down the mountain.
What a friggin drag that was.....I got a heck of a workout baby......feels good to get those lungs working to the point of asthma without having asthma.
Sorry no pics , didn’t have time to stop .
Took a while to find her cause very little blood trail.
Nice freaking doe though.

Awesome....I was hoping that was gonna happen to me while looking.
I had something stocking me while I was making noise....probably deer.

This spike lays down in the same spot every night and relaxes. He watches me, I wave at him. He also watches everything else, saves me from looking around too much.
Haha that’s how this six point is in my honey hole.
Been watching him since he was a spike ....he was a runt and skiddish but now that he blossomed and has some nice antlers he acts like he don’t have a care in the world.
I’ll tell ya what.....if he tangles with any of the three big 8 pointers I saw in my front yard the other wee morning he’s gonna get his azz handed to him.
My mock scrape a d rubs got him so territorial it’s funny.
He hasnt moved from this area since he was an orphaned fawn (I guess) and never did hook up with another herd.
