5 gallon lids?!

Are you attempting to seal 5 gallons of material in bulk?
Just tossing my 2 cents worth in, I use food grade 5 gallon buckets but I fill them with 1qt. mylar bags filled with 2 pounds of my chosen material. Toss in a oxygen absorber, push out as much air as possible and seal with a mylar bag sealer. Then put as many bags into the bucket as possible.
The bags, after sitting overnight, will look as if you used a vacuum sealer. If you push out as much air as possible, use the correct size O2 absorber, will work great.

This is exactly what I’ve been doing. I had bought food grade buckets, but at the time I didn’t think of the difference in lids. So I put a bit of water in one of the buckets, turned it upside down, and water slowly came out. That to me, said there was not an air tight seal. I know it’s overkill with them being in an airtight bag, but I’m a bit paranoid as it is hah.
