Are you looking for a 1911? Or just a 45? There's plenty of 45's to be had under 300 if youre not tied to the 1911 platform. You can a get a HiPoint new for less than 300 if you're ok with HiPoints....if not there's Taurus and several other manufacturers than you could pick up a used 45 for less than 300. Good luck! I wish my wife bought me guns form Christmas!

I'd give him my Ruger before I would buy him a Hipoint. A Taurus 24/7 from Buds was running $345 shipped. The millenium ($299 at CDNN) is to small. It's not easy buying for someone else.

CDNN Sports has the PT145 Millenium Pro for $299 which is a good price but he wants a full size pistol. At least he did the last time we spoke.
