.357sig hand loading

May not be worth the bother, but I have around 50 1x .357 cases a friend fired at my home range. FTGH

I found that I barely flair the case and the bullet seats firm, then I’ve got the seating die that seats and crimps at the same time. It took a little while to get the final die set up but it’s good to go now. Bullets sit firm and don’t push back at all.

I have learned that taper crimping works better than roll crimping. I use a separate die on my Dillon for crimping. It was indeed the hardest round to learn to reload though!! Most give up --don't keep trying to you master it and always correct those who know everything when you tell this it is a ".357 Sig", they say "you mean to say .357 Magnum don't you"... uh, no, no it isn't but, much better. (Hehehe). Have fun with reloading brothers & sisters!!!

I added a .357sig Lee FCD to the press and ran 5 flawless rounds this evening.

Oh boy it’s satisfying when they all run in the first go! You can feel the concussion in your chest when they go off!

Recipe is dialed in for future batches of the 147gr XTP, looking forward to trying some other projectiles here soon!

YES!! It is an attention getter at any range --a lot will stop what they are doing and come visit you. Some want to shoot it too. It rocks!! (Ok, I am an old guy... but it does!)
