My buddy recently passed away, unfortunately working on this bus. His family has asked me to help unload it.
I don't know the mod or year as of yet (1960's, American) but hoping someone on here has knowledge/ interest in these early model passenger buses that can help make this a smooth transition and put closest to value and well needed funds in his family's pocket.

I will get more info and pics asap. I do know there are 2. One is running, the other is for parts. The running one is set up as a motorhome, with dining, kitchen, bedroom. Not sure about restroom yet.
He took it to the midwest last year and says it ran like a dream. He's also a master mechanic.

If anyone is or knows anyone I can get in touch with that can help with this, it would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Hel

Sorry for your loss. That’s really cool. The term is usually “skooli” since many people build school bus RVs. Might be worth checking out Instagram and Reddit for some experts. I know we want one eventually.

As some one who dabbled in the skoolie build and market for a long time, let me help you set your expectations and maybe facilitate a quicker and smoother transaction. People in the skoolie market are in the skoolie market because they either a) don't have money for an RV or b) are a serious DIY person in need of a serious project. In either case, both audiences are looking for a "steal." harrycalahan harrycalahan is right about the make and model. I'd figure out what the fair market value of it is and the try and sell it for that and take the first offer you get. It's going to be really tough to sell another man's project on to someone else. If they are a DIY guy, they're going to want to do it themselves...and having to take the second bus as well? That's also going to be tough. Depending on how bad the family will need the money, maybe consider donating them and writing them off on their taxes? Either way, good luck...and good for you. My condolences on your loss.

Thank you. Very good advice. I appreciate it.
