Can anyone look at this picture and tell me if a 5 inch government size slide will fit this frame without a gap at the front of the dust cover? I am trying to figure this out before ordering a slide, but I am not having any luck finding the info online. Thank you

If you're talking about a slide for a 5" barrel, then yes. Looks like you have a full size (Government) frame for a 5" barrel. The actual slide length that'll contain the barrel will be about 7.5" long from end to end.

A 5" slide? It would be too short for that frame. A Commander size slide is about 6-3/4" long.

Thank you I figured out it out this is a commander size frame and I need a government size frame. I was able to figure it out from the serial number.
