What beavertail grip safety is needed to drop into a 1911 government model without having to modify the pistol. What spur hammer will complement the safety. Thanks

1911’s are made to several similar BUT different dimensions, particularly around the grip safety area.

I put one of these on a Colt that I did not want to modify. It looked pretty good.

Spur hammers are not normally used with beavertail a grip safety, as the spur will hit the extended beaver tail. Most guys use the Combat Commander or Ring type. Be aware that replacement of the hammer can lead to replacement of all of the action parts: thumb safety, sear, hammer, disconnector.

A faster, easier way might be to modify your current hammer—bob the spur off.

Brownells has an entire free online library explaining most of what needs to be known for building a 1911. Under the “Learn” tab on their web site.
