I have another Factor riot gun with that sorta patina color, this one since it had been reblued I wanted to move. Just being a fart in a phone booth bored

When the 97 is gut to match the mag tube you are only about 2 inch or so under the 18" so you don't gain much by going SBS unless you cut the magazine tube shorter as well. Pike's 97 in "The Wild Bunch" film is a shortened 97.

Find yourself a nice slam fire Ithaca 37 and when your Stamp arrives have it cut to 13 inches.

You can slam fire the old JC Higgins/ Hi Standard clones too. And they can be had cheaper than the Ithaca. Don't get me wrong I would dig owning an M37. But if I had one I don't know if I could cut it down.
