Geez, I'd guess mine is a early 80's model.
Like ya'll have said, thousands of rounds through it, accurate, just keeps on working.

This is a gun I think everyone should own one of and I'd never be uncomfortable recommending.
It seems you would never be disappointed with it....
 
Got one as my first gun when I was 7, still one of my favorite to shoot. Never had a single jam or fte till after I cleaned it about 10 years ago lol.
 
My first gun. Can't remember my age when I got it but have to guess over 30+ years. Only gun I would not sell unless it was a ridiculous offer.

Picked up the plastic version couple years ago.
 
I got my Marlin 60 back in 1972, my Dad bought it for me. I have know idea how many rounds have been put through this rifle. I've never had any problem with the rifle, just the regular things from bad ammo.
