Finally took a doe for the first time in the 8 years we've been on this lease. My buddy who hunts with me regularly and is the president of our hunt club wanted a couple for his freezer and hasn't been seeing much at all on the spots he hunts. I had one come out at my spot in the pines so I popped her from about 75 yds. with the 30-06. She went about 30 yds. and piled up so she was pretty easy to find. Out of my spot there and the one I have on top of the hardwood ridge I've seen deer every time except once the first weekend of rifle season. Have to say I've really been blessed in the deer woods this year. And now my buddy has some tender meat!
