Hunting a transition area between feeding and bedding. Deer cross anywhere from 20-150 yards out. Hoping that the giant I’m after slips up. Seen a spike, doe and a bunch of turkeys so far. Best of luck y’all!

I go out every day
yesterday saw a 6pt moving quickly as if on a mission
then saw the same Deer twice in the afternoon, I did not see any Does

this has been the 1st mid-day Buck movement I have seen so far

trail camera shows Bucks together at night
things happen late around here, heck I'm still seeing a spotted fawn

Jumped two on way in.
Had one hang around my ladder for a half hour in the dark.
Had a buck make a weird breathy noise near me and slinked away.
Ten min later heard a dog bark in the distance and figured it was barking at a deer…. Then a min later a deer came trotting up the bowl and up the ridge and crossed the road.
I kept watching for the buck to give chase and sure enough he was on that doe’s trail silently sneaking up.
He was a bruiser too but I’m tagged out on bucks.
I saw a few more running and chasing before the sun breached the tree tops.

Ill be back this evening in my favorite evening ambush spot if the wind cooperates.
Was nice to see so much activity….. has been a long rut so far.

Well, crap. Checked weather at lunch, 7% chance of rain. An hour later its raining and projected to rain til past dark. I hate hunting in the rain.
