I took my take down out for the 1st time period and had nothing but problems. I have the adjuster nut adjusted nice and snug. But I'm still having feeding issues. Several different manufacturers, same issue. Bx25 and factory 10 round mags. It tries to strip it out of the msg but doesn't seem to line up right with the chamber. Any 1022 gurus that can offer guidance?

Do you have any different type of ammo? Something more round nose? I think a good polishing of where rounds feed into the barrel at would be a good idea.

When you say apparently had the same issue...you mean you've not had the issue? Or you've not tried it out yet?
Had the same issue. I say apparently because I can’t remember what the fix was..tried three types of ammo and they all FTF a few times. No longer a take down owner.

Thats a thought. Don't think so though. When it works with the 10 round it works reliably. It extracts fine when it works. Just doesn't chamber. Its in Rugers hands now. Ill update when I know more.

Is the extractor bent?
They can be damaged by removing the barrel with the bolt closed.
Mine was broken when I bought it (off of here).

Gotcha.
From what little I could tell from the pics (eyesight not what it used to be), it looked like the extractor may (sometimes) not be picking up the rim, and pushing the round out of line.
