Unless I got some kind of crazy deflection off of something as he was close. Shooting Hornady 7.62x39 SST rounds, so they should be much better than the older stuff I used to shoot about deflections. Deer was only about 15 yards in the woods; but was slipping behind some bushes. I would rather it be a clean miss due to deflection than a poor shot. Both the gun and hunter have taken many deer, so who knows.No blood no hair? Maybe a clean miss??
