There is a shop in Warner Robins called Oak Ridge Gun Refinishing. I hear really good things about them. I bet they can fix you right up but if not, they can steer you in the right direction.
Good lookin' boy! Mine is wanting to get started this year. He's 7 and shoots with me fairly regularly. I gave him a Cricket 22 for Christmas this year and he is quite the little sniper. I enjoy spending the time with him just teaching him to shoot. I can't wait to get him in the woods.
I put one in my 22. I can't tell that much difference in trigger pull. Feels pretty much the same as stock. Can't remember the brand but it had a green insert in the pack.
True love. Say it with Krylon! I have an old sawed-off that is painted flat black. It has actually held up pretty well over the years. For a $100 gun, I might try it.
One possibility might be dipping. AtlantaHydroImaging (on this site) could probably give you a better idea. Their work looks great from what I've seen and the prices are reasonable.
Mine does NOT fire from half-cock. Not an expert though. Someone will be along shortly who will be a wealth of knowledge on 1911 pistols. What brand is it?
I have a good friend who works for these guys. He had a gun duracoated for me and it looked like it came from the factory. Excellent work from these guys!
The name doesnt ring a bell with me but the barrel material does. If it is demascus steel it will not hold the pressures of modern shells and can blow up. I have a Richards double barrel made in the 1800s that has demascus barrels. I'm no expert by any means but if you post a couple of pics I...
I hear good things about Oak Ridge Custom Finishing in Warner Robbins. I have never had any gunsmith work done personally a friend of mine really likes them. They did refinish a pistol for me and it was as good as I have seen.
