  1. Considering rechambering to 25-06 AI

Can’t think of a good argument against going AI. You can still fire standard non-AI rounds in your AI-chambered rifle, so you’re not limited.
  2. Considering rechambering to 25-06 AI

The AI modification works well in a lot of different calibers. My elk rifle is in .280AI, and it gets me within 100fps of the 7mmRemMag with much less recoil and noise (although I use it suppressed), and better barrel life.
  3. Looking for a cerakote recommendation

Altering tolerances, as in making the circumference of the optic ever-so-slightly larger……..yes. Nothing else, and that doesn’t hurt anything with a quality mounting system. Properly Cerakoting a quality optic will hurt it as much as properly cleaning aluminum firearms, suppressors, and...
  4. Looking for a cerakote recommendation

Properly Cerakoting a quality scope will not cause any issues with the optic.
  5. Glock 21, gen. 2 cracked frame.

Never emailed Glock, but they’ve always been there to answer the phone when I called during business hours. 770-432-1202
  6. 7.5 sling casing 1-3 o clock question.

I don’t use ejection pattern for diagnosing. It’s not a good indicator, as it can be influenced by too many factors. If it’s running 100%, leave it alone. A 5.56 with a pistol-length gas system is going to be violent.
  7. AR not chambering next round

Not an adjustable gas block. OP is running an adjustable BCG.
  8. AR not chambering next round

You’re welcome. I’m always happy to educate the ignorant.
  9. Who owns a Dobbs Defense ARC22 can?

We got the first run made, and they’re in stock at TruPrep in Marietta for $17.99.
  10. AR not chambering next round

OP’s gun already has an adjustable BCG. There is no “guessing” when you know what you’re doing. The likely culprits that I described can all be checked and certified against known specs and requirements.
  11. AR not chambering next round

The USMC tested all the aftermarket buffer systems available at the time, in an effort to increase the reliability of the M4A1 carbine. Some of the systems tested were the standard USGI carbine buffer system, the Vltor A5 buffer system, the Geissele Super 42, and the JP SCS. The JP SCS...
  12. AR not chambering next round

    And then some.
  13. AR not chambering next round

"Smoother" doesn't mean more reliable. I don't care how "smoooooooth" my AR is if I am sacrificing reliability. "Reliability" is Number 1 on my list, but I guess I have my own heirarchy of criteria for what I require in an AR. I build 'em AND I shoot 'em.
  14. AR not chambering next round

I build and service thousands of AR's a year for civilians and LE. I've seen every single brand of captured buffer system. The JP Enterprises is by far the best one, and it isn't as overall reliable as a "standard" buffer system. There is such a thing as "sample size". How many systems have...
  15. AR not chambering next round

Buy good mags and you won't have to butcher them to get them to work.
  16. AR not chambering next round

    Trash.
  17. AR not chambering next round

A well-balanced AR will everything from Tula/PMC Bronze to M855, suppressed and non-suppressed, without resorting to a an adjustable anything.
  18. AR not chambering next round

This. Tula is notoriously under-powered, and I’ve no idea what your reloads are like. With that said, I build my personal AR’s so they’ll cycle everything from crappy Tula and PMC Bronze, up through M193/M855 +, and everything in between. As non-military, if you can’t use whatever ammo...
  19. AR not chambering next round

Yessir, reaming it out to the proper size. I have all the reamers for that.
  20. AR not chambering next round

Undergassed could be one or more of the following: -gas port too small -gas block misaligned -leaking between the gas key and the carrier -poor "seal" between the gas tube and the inside of the gas key -poor seal in the carrier bore......could be due to gas rings, although it could be a...
